How long does it take to graduate from medical school?
How long it takes to graduate from medical school depends on your state’s laws and requirements. Generally, to graduate from a medical program in the United States, you must complete a four-year undergraduate degree, four years of medical school, and three to seven years of residency training, depending on the specialty.
Afterwards, you must pass a licensing exam in the state in which you wish to practice medicine. You need 10 to 14 years to become a licensed doctor.
In other countries, it takes about the same amount of time to become a doctor as in the United States.
Future doctors in Canada must also complete an undergraduate degree (3 to 4 years) before entering medical school (4 years) and 2 to 5 years of residency training.

Johns Hopkins University is the fourth best medical school in the United States. The university has a median undergraduate GPA of 4 and an MCAT score of over 3.94. Compared to Harvard, it has a high acceptance rate of 520%.
Students at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine pay an average of $58,949 in tuition. The American Medical School records the enrollment of more than 470 students.

In Latin America, more than 30 universities are ranked among the best medical schools in the world. Countries including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay each topped the list with 15 schools. The University of São Paulo (USP) is a top school in Latin America. Colombia’s six universities are currently ranked between 301-350.
In Mexico, Universidad Nacional Autóno made México is the highest ranked, while in Chile, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile is the highest ranked medical school. The Universidad de Bueno Aires is the top medical school in Argentina.
Top Medical Schools in Asia
There are 98 medical schools in Asia. These schools include 28 in Japan and 18 in China and Korea.
Two of Japan’s top medical universities rank in the top 50 and two in the world’s top 100, including the region’s second-ranked universities, the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University.
With the exception of China University in Beijing, Fudan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University both ranked below 100, an improvement from last year.
South Korea has 18 medical schools in the ranking , led by Seoul National University), while Kyunkwan University and Yonsei University rose to 51 and 100, respectively, from lower rankings last year.

India has fewer than five medical schools, and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi tops the list of medical schools in India.
Hong Kong, Indonesia and the Philippines follow with two universities each. The University of Hong Kong (HKU) ranks third in Asia, and 29th in fifth place.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is the second highest institution, and the Faculty of Medicine is one of the top 50 schools in the world.

America’s Top Medical Schools
The 2023 school rankings include more than 90 top U.S. universities, 18 of which are in the top 50.
In the United States, six medical schools rank in the top 10. As the most prestigious institution of higher learning, Harvard University ranks first, and Johns Hopkins University ranks fourth in the world, achieving excellent results in all four indicators.

Egypt has the highest number of universities with 6 schools in the medical school ranking, while South Africa has 6 schools.
In Egypt, the University of Cairo improved significantly, from 251 to 300 to 201 to 250. However, South Africa ranks first in Africa. Cape Town maintained its position in the 101-150 range.
Uganda, Nigeria , and Ghana have a university on the list of schools.
Top Medical Schools in the Middle East
Israel has 5 universities in the list of top universities. Turkey is followed by four high-ranking agencies, followed by Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Jordan with two each. The United Arab Emirates and Kuwait have the fewest schools, with one each.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem ranks first with between 151 and 200 people, while Haceteppe University and Istanbul University (301 to 350) occupy the top positions.
King Abdulaziz University (KAU) is the highest of the two Saudi Arabian entrants, reaching a series ranking of 251-300 after 151-200 last year.
